Goldie’s Curriculum Updates for Statistics

Let’s Talk About It!

Welcome to the official update log for Goldie’s Statistics curriculum. As I continue to enhance and expand the resources, lesson plans, and projects available, you can stay up-to-date with the latest additions right here.

With each monthly update, you’ll find detailed overviews of all the improvements and new content that will make your statistics lessons more engaging and effective.

You can get these updates a few different ways:

  • If you purchased from my TPT store, go to “My Purchases” and scroll down to your product. There will be an option there to redownload the resource and it will have the updates there.
  • If you purchased from my Emporium, go to the email you received with your download link. When you click on that link to redownload the product, you will get the new updates.
  • You can also email me at any time (goldiesmathemporium[at]gmail.com) and ask for the individual files included in the updates. Please include your purchase method and order number and I will send them directly to you!

November 2024 Updates

11/14 – Semester 2 Final Exam Study Guide is Here!

The Semester 2 final exam study guide is now available in both the full curriculum and the semester 2 curriculum. This study guide is 12 pages long and has problems that encompass each unit we have covered in Semester 2, from sampling distributions to the chi-square distribution!

11/14 – Unit 3 Test Review Key Updated

We found a typo in one of the problems of the key, so I updated it with the correct information and also made the key editable in Word! The new format is now available.

11/22 – Unit 4 Quiz Key Updated

For some reason, the line of random digits from the student quiz did not match the teacher key. The key has been updated to include the correct random digits, which changed parts of the answer!

October 2024 Updates

10/2 – Updated Unit 4 Notes

10/13 – Updated Unit 5 Notes

The Unit 5 Notes have been completely updated! The answer keys were already typed, but I went through all the notes, edited them for consistency, and made new PowerPoint slides for each of them.

10/14 – Updated Unit 4 Test Review Key

The Unit 4 Test Review Key was updated for #7 and for the second free response problem. Small mistakes, but it is all fixed now!

10/15 – Unit 4 Quiz Key Updates

The Unit 4 Quiz Key has been updated for #6. The description of the sample selection should be for 3000 students, not for 100 students.

10/23 – Semester 2 Final Exam is Here!

The Semester 2 final exam has 40 multiple-choice problems from Units 7 – 11. The detailed answer key, along with a formula sheet, is now available. The study guide for this exam will be ready in the next few weeks as well.

10/24 – Updated Unit 6 Notes

The Unit 6 Notes have been completely updated! The answer keys were already typed, but I went through all the notes, edited them for consistency, and made new PowerPoint slides for each lesson.

September 2024 Updates

9/4 – Updated Unit 2 Notes

The Unit 2 Notes have been completely updated! New layouts and better problems make learning all about the Normal Distribution easier. There are now typed answer keys, which make teachers’ lives easier when adjusting the curriculum to fit their classes. PowerPoint slides are also included, to make classroom instruction that much easier for you.

9/23 – Updated Unit 3 Notes & Added Residual Plots

The Unit 3 notes got the same treatment as the Unit 2 notes – updated guided notes, typed answer keys, and new PowerPoint slides! In addition, residual plots were also added to the curriculum, and I put information on those in Lesson 5 (along with the residual notes), and added them into the homework assignment as well.

9/30 – Updated Unit 2 Test

On the Unit 2 Test, in the free response problem, the directions had a standard deviation of 1.3lbs and the answer key was filled out with a standard deviation of 3lbs. The correct standard deviation should be 3lbs, and the directions for the test were updated in the unit plans and the complete curriculum.
